A compact camera for everyday moments

Kodak Friendly Zoom FZ45 Pink is a compact digital camera designed for easy everyday photography, travel and family occasions. It offers 16.35 MP effective resolution, 4× optical zoom, a 27 mm wide-angle view and Full HD 1080p video.

Easy operation is complemented by a 2.7-inch LCD display and power from two standard AA batteries. This removes the need for a dedicated rechargeable battery and makes replacements easy to find while travelling.

The pink finish combines compact dimensions with practical features including digital image stabilization, face detection, panorama, HDR and a wide selection of scene modes.

Easy operation and automatic modes

FZ45 provides Single AF and Multi-AF focusing, object tracking and face detection. Automatic and scene modes cover landscapes, sports, beaches, sunsets, fireworks, night scenes, snow, children, portraits, parties and pets.

The camera can detect faces, smiles and blinks and also provides simple portrait retouching options such as red-eye removal, skin softening and eye enhancement.

16 MP photos and Full HD 1080p video

The 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor provides 16.35 MP effective pixels and captures still images at up to 4608 × 3456 pixels. Additional image sizes are available in 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios.

Video can be recorded in Full HD 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps. The camera also supports HD 1280 × 720 at 60 or 30 fps, VGA 640 × 480 at 30 fps and high-speed 640 × 480 recording at 120 fps. Photos are saved as JPEG files and video is recorded in MOV format.

4× optical zoom and a 27 mm wide-angle lens

The 4.9–19.6 mm lens corresponds to approximately 27–108 mm in 35 mm equivalent terms. Its 4× optical zoom moves from wide-angle views to tighter compositions without changing lenses.

The lens has an F3.0 aperture at the wide end and F6.6 at telephoto. A 6× digital zoom is also available, giving up to 24× combined zoom. Macro focusing is available from approximately 5 cm at the wide end, while digital image stabilization helps reduce the effect of small camera movements.

2.7″ display and practical shooting features

The rear 2.7-inch LCD with approximately 230K pixels is used for framing, checking settings and reviewing photos and videos. ISO sensitivity can be selected automatically or set from ISO 100 to 3200.

Exposure compensation is available over ±3 EV in 1/3 EV steps, while shutter speeds range from 1/2000 to 4 seconds, with up to 30 seconds in manual mode. The built-in flash offers Auto, red-eye reduction, fill flash, flash off and slow-sync options. The camera also includes 0–180° panorama capture and HDR.

Up to 512 GB storage, AA batteries and compact dimensions

The camera includes approximately 63 MB of internal memory and supports SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards with capacities up to 512 GB. Connectivity is provided by USB 2.0 via a Micro USB connector.

Power comes from two AA batteries, either alkaline or rechargeable NiMH. With two alkaline AA batteries, the manufacturer specifies approximately 120 photos under CIPA testing or around one hour of Full HD video recording. The body measures approximately 93.0 × 60.2 × 28.7 mm and weighs approximately 117 g without batteries.
